How to reset

You can reset your server's IP right from the dashboard, no support ticket needed.

1. Open the XeroShield Dashboard and pick your server
2. Open the resource modal (the same window where you download and set up the resource)
3. Click Unlock IP
4. Type in a reason for the change
5. Click Change IP

Your IP gets unlinked right away. Once your server restarts and reconnects, it re-authenticates with the new IP on its own.

Good to know

• Give a real reason. A false or made-up reason can get your server blacklisted.
• Once every 3 days. There's a cooldown, so you can only change the IP once every 3 days.
• Manage access needed. Only server owners or users with manage permission can do it.
• Restart to finish. Your server needs to restart and reconnect after the reset.
